Meet the Wild Tea Drinker

My name is Alice and I am from Maine where I live with my husband, our cat Socks and Luna our satin angora rabbit.

I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University in 2022 with a BA in Graphic Design and Media Arts. I also have a background in Business Administration and Management and Culinary Arts. I would love to design for marketing, illustration, and web design.

I will also be featuring some of my knitted items on my blog and maybe having some for sale here. My knitted items are usually made with luxury fibers with every stitch an intention for the love of the craft.

So why the name Wild Tea Drinker? I have been using this title for such a long time but, still remember my thought process along the way.

There is a book called The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating by Elisabeth Tova Bailey and it is a beautiful book that I highly recommend to everyone. I really liked that unique title and originally came up with The Sound of a Wild Tea Drinker to fit my own self better for the brand I knew I wanted to create eventually shortening it to Wild Tea Drinker.

In the past I have tried writing a blog, starting an Etsy shop, selling handmade items in local shops, and other various online creative outlets all naming them some variation of Wild Tea Drinker. It just sounded right. It fit me perfectly but, I couldn't describe why and when I started going to school for graphic design I had to sit with my business name and describe the why (or I would fail the class).

So when I imagine a wild tea drinker I think of myself but, also those who are like minded...we may be open to try out so many new things but, we always come back to our favorite and usually cozy hobbies...much like a snail who can explore all day but will follow it's snail trail all the way back to where they started, to their cozy spot where they can recharge and go on a new adventure the next day. I love to recharge every night with my knitting, a show I have seen more than once, and a cup of tea.
